Mazatlan: Sierra Madre / Copala & Concordia Tour |
|
|
A family friendly tour!
Next you are on your way to Concordia, a beautiful town founded in 1565 as Villa De San Sebastian. Here you'll visit the historic church, city hall and main plaza, before continuing on to the highlight of your tour, Copala.
Copala was also founded in 1565, as a Spanish gold mining town. This is a very traditional Mexican town, with cobblestone streets and colonial buildings. Copala is a step back in time--electricity wasn't even introduced here until the 1980's. Today it retains its old world charm, and has been designated a National Historic Landmark.
After lunch and a piece of banana coconut cream pie, you'll head back to port and civilization, leaving the past behind.
This tour also includes a shorter version of the City Tour.
